A delegation of the Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia led by Director General Gjoko Tanasoski attended the 14th meeting of the Subcommittee on Trade, Industry, Customs and Taxation held in Brussels, Belgium, on 23.11.2017.

On 20th November 2017, delegations of the Customs Administrations of the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Serbia had a bilateral meeting in Belgrade. The meeting of the delegations headed by the Directors General of the two services was aimed at strengthening the cooperation between the two countries, established within the framework of the Agreement on bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Serbia for cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters, the cooperation within the CEFTA free Trade Agreement, as well as cooperation at the border crossings.

On 15th November 2017, Customs Director General Mr. Gjoko Tanasoski had a working meeting with the Customs Attaché of the Republic of France for the Western Balkans, Mr. Pierre Bouillon.

Over the past two weeks, the customs officers detected several attempts for smuggling different goods, seizing spare parts for tractors and trucks, cigarettes, textile materials, footwear, led lights and counterfeits.

To facilitate the operations of the textile factories and all the participants in the customs procedure, as of today 13th November 2017, the Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia has introduced new extended working hours and possibility for customs clearance on Saturdays at the Customs Office Stip.
