On 27th December 2017, representatives of the Commission for Control of Trade in Strategic Goods of the Republic of Kosovo and representatives of the Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia had a bilateral meeting in Skopje focused on the "Regional cooperation in the field of control of export of strategic goods".

On 27th December 2017, representatives of the Commission for Control of Trade in Strategic Goods of the Republic of Kosovo and representatives of the Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia had a bilateral meeting in Skopje focused on the "Regional cooperation in the field of control of export of strategic goods".

The provisions of the Law Amending the Law on Excises ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia" No. 171 of 28.11.2017) and the Rulebook amending the Rulebook on the Implementation of the Law on Excise ( "Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia" No. 180 dated 11.12.2017) became applicable as of 1st January 2018.

With the amendments to the Law on Excises increase, the excise on gas oil of the tariff codes 2710 19 43 00, 2710 19 46 00, 2710 19 47 00, 2710 19 48 00, 2710 20 11 00, 2710 20 15 00, 2710 20 17 00 and 2710 20 19 00 increases for 3 Denars. The amount of excise duty of gas oil used as fuel will be 15.121 Denars, and 6,136 Denars when used as fuel for heating.

 

The start of the Twinning project "Strengthening of the institutional and operational capacities of the Customs Administration" was officially marked today, 19th December 2017, at the premises of the EU InfoCentre.

Over the past three weeks, the customs officers prevented several attempts for smuggling various goods, seizing clothing, shoes, jewelry, mobile phones, coffee machines, alcohol testers, cigarettes, lighters, carpentry saws, license plates and counterfeits.
