During detailed customs control of a bus declared for entry into the Republic of North Macedonia, the mobile teams detected and seized 2,773 grams of gold jewellery and a bus.

Today, Customs Director General Slavica Kutirov, met Mr. Andrew Moffat,  a representative of the US Embassy in Skopje. They discussed the ongoing projects aimed at facilitatation  and  acceleration of trade and the processes for inter-connection of the Western Balkans region.

Today, 29th July 2021, Deputy Director General of the Customs Administration, Mr. Muarem Asani visited the Regional Customs House Skopje. The purpose of this visit was for the Deputy Director to get acquainted with the capacities of the Customs House.

In the 2020 Investment Climate Report: North Macedonia, the State Department commends the Customs Administration in the part related to digitalization by using  automated electronic customs clearance process, which allows businesses to monitor the status of their applications and deterring  corruption to a maximal degree. It is also noted that there is no discriminatory export or import policy affecting foreign investors and almost 96 percent of total foreign trade is unrestricted.
