Today, at the premises of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, the Ministry of Justice and group of institutions: Ministry of Interior, Customs Administration, Public Prosecutor's Office, Anti-Corruption Commission, Civil Aviation Agency M-NAV, Financial Police Directorate, Financial Intelligence Unit, Central Registry and State Election Commission signed agreements for Interoperability.

Today, the USAID Economic Development, Management and Enterprise Growth Program (EDGE), together with the Customs Administration of the Republic of North Macedonia, organized a workshop for better understanding and application of preferential rules of origin of goods - in accordance with the PEM Convention, Brexit and new transitional preferential rules of origin.

Today, in the premises of the Customs Administration, a working meeting was held with the State Agriculture Inspectorate to discuss current issues related to mutual cooperation between the two institutions and effective and coordinated action in the area of ​​customs regulations and regulations governing the control of agricultural products.

Today's working meeting was used for a discussion about the work done and achieved so far by both institutions in the activities and projects arising from the Open Balkans initiative.

After receiving information from CO Tabanovce, inspectors of the Investigation Department of the Customs Administration conducted search of a freight motor vehicle with Serbian license plates transporting goods from the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of North Macedonia. Large quantity of undeclared automobile spare parts were found in the vehicle, for which the driver did not have appropriate documentation.

The value of the spare parts is estimated EUR 10,317.

The goods were impounded, and criminal charges will be filed against the truck driver for "Smuggling" under Article 278 of the Criminal Code.

 

The current Acting Director General of the Customs Administration, Slavica Kutirov was re-elected as Director General of this government agency.
