Acting upon the established irregularities, in August 2017 the Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia brought criminal charges for 4 cases, involving 5 natural and 2 legal entities.

During last two weeks, the customs officers foiled an attempt for trafficking marijuana and several attempts for smuggling different goods, seizing cash, a drone, a metal detector and used woodwork machines.

Today on 29th August 2017, at the Customs Administration’s Headquarters, the Director General of the Customs Administration Mr. Gjoko Tanasoski and Mr. George R. Clarke, Regional Advisor of the Export Control and Related Border Security Programme (EXBS) held a working meeting.


The customs inspectors of the Operational Matters Department, in coordinated action with inspectors from the Ministry of Interior, prevented an attempt for drug trafficking, seizing about 2,700 grams of marijuana.

Today on 23.08.2017, at the premises of the Customs Administration Headquarters, Mr. Gjoko Tanasoski - Director General of the Customs Administration and Mr. Nicola Bertolini, Head of Cooperation, Delegation of the European Union in Skopje held a working meeting.
