Over the past two weeks, the customs officers prevented several attempts for smuggling different goods, seizing tools, door parts, coffee machine parts, cosmetics, foreign currencies, school supplies, medical equipment, cigarettes, tobacco, counterfeits and more.

On 3rd July 3 2019, the Director General of the Customs Administration of the Republic of North Macedonia, Gjoko Tanasoski, together with the Director of Customs System Sector Zlatko Veterovski, made two working visits in the companies Drexlmayer and IGM-Trade Doo Kavadarci. The purpose of the visit was granting of Authorized Economic Operator Certificates.

In June 2019 the customs officers detected several attempts for smuggling different goods, seizing technical products, medical sterilizer, medicines, apparel, foreign currency, perfumes and more. 

Delegation of the Customs Administration led by Director General Gjoko Tanasoski took part in the activities of the 133th and 134th Session of the Customs Cooperation Council of the World Customs Organization, which took place in within 27 – 29 June 2019 in Brussels-Belgium.

The Customs Administration hereby notifies that as of 3rd July 2019 the new Customs Processing and Excise Documents Processing System (CDEPS) for import procedures is being put in operation at all customs offices, except the Customs Offices Gevgelija - Section for Customs Clearance ( 4020), Tabanovce - Section for Customs Clearance (2030), Post Office Skopje (1025) and Skopje 3 (1013). Starting from this date, all import declarations must be submitted in the CDEPS.

Once again, we remind about the basic preconditions for lodging electronic customs declarations in the CDEPS:

-              have an electronic signature (certificate);

-              have approved access to the CDEPS;

-              if submitting declarations as agents in the CDEPS it is necessary to have requested and obtained an authorzation for representation. A prerequisite for this is that at least one employee has requested and obtained a license for representation in the CDEPS;

-              all authorizations related to customs procedures must have been previously recorded in the CDEPS.
