The Customs Administration successfully completed 2021, with 103.47 billion Denars or 1.68 billion Euros total revenues collected as customs duties, VAT, excise duties and other fees on imports and internal trade. The collected revenues in 2021 are 24.70% higher compared to 2020 and 12.81% more compared to 2019.

During detailed customs control of a freight motor vehicle declared for exit from the country at BCP Dojran, yesterday a mobile customs team from the Control and Investigation Sector of the Customs Administration of the Republic of North Macedonia prevented an attempt for smuggling of 139 kg of marijuana.

The drugs were seized and after gathering evidence and determining all the circumstances of the event, appropriate criminal charges will be filed against the suspect under Article 215 of the Criminal Law.

As part of the activities envisaged by the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Mother Teresa University from Skopje, the Customs Administration organized a presentation on "The Customs Administration’s process of reform, modernization and digitalization " for 4th year students in the area of customs, freight forwarding and insurance.

Today (28th December 2021), Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi paid a working visit to the Customs Administration of the Republic of North Macedonia.

As part of the activities envisaged with the Memorandum of Cooperation signed with the Goce Delchev University from Shtip, experts from the Customs Administration delivered a presentation on "The process of reform, modernization and digitalization of the Customs Administration".
