Continuing the good cooperation between the Customs Administration of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Korean Customs, today, a virtual meeting was held launching a project that will support the capacity building of the Customs Administration, particularly in the area of e-commerce and will contribute to the establishment on a balance between facilitated and faster delivery of shipments and greater collection of budget revenues from this type of trade.

The project will be implemented within 2022-2023 and will significantly benefit small and medium enterprises in terms of wider access to foreign markets by reducing import barriers and reducing operating costs. A feasibility study is being prepared for the needs of the Project for modernization of Customs.

It was emphasized at the meeting that the support that the Customs Administration will receive in the area of e-commerce is of great importance, which is constantly growing and developing worldwide, particularly now in the new conditions created by the Covid 19 crisis. South Korea's Customs is widely known for its technological advancement and numerous awards in the field of electronic achievements.
