Ministers, Directors of Customs Administrations and representatives of national Food Safety Agencies, Tax Administrations and Chambers of Commerce from North Macedonia, Serbia and Albania attended  today a video conference meeting under the Open Balkans initiative.

The participants discussed the activities undertaken so far and the degree of realization of the conclusions that emerged at the meeting in Nish, held on 13th and 14th November.

The Director General of the Customs Administration of the Republic of North Macedonia, Slavica Kutirov, MSc, emphasized that we are committed to the activities in the competence of the Customs Administration to ensure their timely and efficient implementation. In this regard, she informed that on 3rd December 2021, she and the Director General of the Customs Administration of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Branko Radujko signed the Protocol for mutual recognition of the Authorized Economic Operator authorizations (AEO). This was one of the conclusions of the ministerial meeting in Nish, when it was agreed to also further promote the established joint controls. The Director noted that activities for mutual recognition of an Authorized Economic Operator and the establishment of a One Stop Shop with the Republic of Albania are underway.
