A wrap-up workshop presenting the final Blueprint document was held today. This document is grounds for development of a new National Single Window System in the coming period, which is realized under Western Balkans Trade and Transport Facilitation Project - WBTTFP, financed under World Bank loan.

Members of the NSW Working Group, composed of representatives of the Customs Administration – as leading agency in the implementation of the project, along with eleven other government agencies responsible for cross-border movement of goods. Customs Director General Slavica Kutirov, Steering Committee Deputy Director Violane Konar Leacy and a representative of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) - an organization that financed the preparation of this document, addressed the participants.

The Blueprint incorporates the most important areas for building this complex system, such as the legal framework, operating model, financing model, technical and functional architecture of the NSW system itself, user competencies, and implementation plan.

The software solution development is expected to begin in the coming period.

With the implementation of the new National Single Window System, the Republic of North Macedonia will establish a new innovative concept for trade facilitation, providing new services to economic operators and more efficient controls, applying the latest technological tools in e- commerce.

The full realization of the project and the implementation of the New Single Window System is planned to be completed by 2024.
