To promote the customs hotline line for reporting corruption and the Anti-Corruption Plan, today the Vice President in charge of fight against corruption and crime, sustainable development and human resources Ljupco Nikolovski held a working meeting at the border crossing Deve Bair with the Director General of the Customs Administration Goran Sugareski.

Deputy Prime Minister Nikolovski pointed out that the fight against corruption and crime implies active involvement and cooperation of all relevant anti-corruption institutions, and the Customs Administration is one of the institutions that successfully works on prevention of corruption and crime, through automation and digitization of the processes and reducing personal contact between officials and citizens. Of particular importance is the free customs hotline line 197, which is open for reporting corruption, conflict of interest and misuse of official power.

Director General Sugareski confirmed that to ensure DETECTION and PUNISHMENT, the Customs Administration continuously collects information from the participants in the customs procedures by providing guarantee of anonymity, through this customs hotline 197, which is done through encrypted application and that deletion and tampering with records in this application is impossible.
