A protocol meeting between the Director General of the Customs Administration, Mr. Gjoko Tanasoski and the Deputy Head of Mission of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Andrien van Mens took place today at the Customs Administration.

Customs Director General and Deputy Head of Mission highlighted the benefits of the successful bilateral cooperation between the customs services of the Netherlands and Macedonia, which dates back to 2003 and particularly the cooperation in the period 2003-2012, providing support in the promotion of customs procedures for inward processing, economic impact and excise goods, the work of the customs laboratory, as well as the establishment of a system for adequate protection of intellectual property rights. The activities of the Customs Administration in 2018 to upgrade the benefits acquired from the established cooperation, as well as other activities aimed at improvement of the customs operations, primarily in the field of computerization and trade facilitation were presented at the meeting.

Having presented the forthcoming priority and strategic activities of the Customs Administration, proposals for future joint actions under the framework of bilateral cooperation and their expansion were exchanged.
