Within 17-21 September 2018, a workshop aimed at preparation for the establishment of the European Union’s traditional own resources management system was organized at the premises of the Customs Administration. The workshop is part of the Twinning Project "Strengthening the institutional and operational capacities of the Customs Administration", funded by the EU IPA funds.

Experts in this area, Ms. Marica Vukovic, Director of the Finance Sector of the Customs Administration of the Republic of Croatia and Ms. Marina Knezevic, representative from the Department for Mandatory Taxes within the Croatian Customs Finance Sector spoke about the customs legislation of the EU in the area of finance management, as well as the activities of the Croatian Customs Administration prior to joining the EU to align  with the EU legislation and the preparation of IT systems for implementation the procedure for management of traditional own resources of the EU. During the five-day workshop, the attendees discussed about what administrative capacities and changes in the organization are needed to establish a system for management of traditional own resources.

Through this workshop, the Customs Administration of the Republic of Croatia reiterate their readiness for intensive cooperation and support in the euro-integration process of the Macedonian Customs, through exchange of experience and best practices.
