Today, 25th April 2018 the Economic Chamber of Macedonia organized a working breakfast for the companies members of the Economic Chamber with the Director General of the Customs Administration and the Director General of the Public Revenue Office - institutions whose operation mostly affects the operation of the companies.

The purpose of the meeting was to deepen the cooperation to ensure efficient implementation of the customs procedures in the cross-border movement of goods and adequate implementation of the tax policy as key impact factors on the competitiveness of the Macedonian economy internationally.

The results of the research conducted by the Economic Chamber in communication with the direct stakeholders  - businessmen were presented at the event,  as most adequate grounds to obtain information and findings about the challenges they face in their work, which was conducted with the aim to jointly contribute to the modern processes of simplification, modernization and harmonization of the customs and tax procedures.

Customs director General Mr. Gjoko Tanasoski addressed the attendees and informed them about what has been done so far and what Customs will do in the coming period with regard to trade facilitation. The Director General announced the changes in the customs regulations, introduction of joint controls with the neighboring countries, further development of the IT capacities and stressed that the Customs Administration will continue to improve the business environment and increase the competitiveness of the companies, in accordance with the needs of the national economy .

The Director General of the Public Revenue Office, Ms. Sanja Lukarovska, in her address pointed out the novelties and activities of the Public Revenue Office, while the President of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia, Mr. Branko Azeski, stressed the need for partnership relations between the companies, Customs and the Public Revenue Office.
