Representatives of the Customs Administrations of Greece, North Macedonia and Serbia met today to discuss the potential of SEED - the key system for implementing green corridors.

A three-day Regional Conference on Improving Border Security, organized by the OSCE Mission to the United Nations and the UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) was opened today in Ohrid. Directors and senior officials of the Customs and Border Authorities of the Western Balkans, as well as senior representatives of the customs and police services of the Hellenic Republic are attending the Conference.

At a press conference held today, Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi, together with the Directors of the Public Revenue Office Sanja Lukarevska and the Customs Administration Slavica Kutirov presented the adopted amendments, noting the importance of fast reaction from  all institutions involved in the process of adoption to ensure their start to be applied, after last night's adoption by the Parliament.

Today, at the premises of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, the Ministry of Justice and group of institutions: Ministry of Interior, Customs Administration, Public Prosecutor's Office, Anti-Corruption Commission, Civil Aviation Agency M-NAV, Financial Police Directorate, Financial Intelligence Unit, Central Registry and State Election Commission signed agreements for Interoperability.

Today, the USAID Economic Development, Management and Enterprise Growth Program (EDGE), together with the Customs Administration of the Republic of North Macedonia, organized a workshop for better understanding and application of preferential rules of origin of goods - in accordance with the PEM Convention, Brexit and new transitional preferential rules of origin.
