Cooperation

The partnership between the Customs Administration and the business community is realized through the Advisory Council, which is a forum for exchange of opinions.

The Advisory Council was established in January 2009, In accordance with the standards of the World Customs Organisation (Convention on the Harmonisation and Simplification of Customs Procedures).

Members of the Advisory Council are:

  • Customs Administration
  • Economic Chamber of Macedonia
  • Association of Chambers of Commerce of Macedonia
  • Economic Chamber for North-West Macedonia
  • American Chamber of Commerce in Macedonia – AmCham
  • Association of Macedonian Enterprises for Road International Transport “Makedonija Soobrakaj” (A.M.E.R.I.T)
  • Macedonian International Freight Forwarding and Logistics Operators Association (MIFA)
  • Textile Trade Association – Textile Cluster
  • ICT Chamber of Commerce - MASIT
  • Dutch Chamber of Commerce
  • Macedonian-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce
  • Association of the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce-Representative Office in Skopje

The basic work principles of the Advisory Council are:

  • To promote the partnership between the Customs Administration and the business community,
  • To ensure high level of trade facilitation and security,
  • To modernize customs procedures and
  • To organize training activities
