IPA projects

In recent years, the Customs Administration has implemented a number of projects for modernization of customs operations and further development of institutional and administrative capacities.

In 2010, the European Commission adopted a decision transferring the competencies for the management of the first component of the IPA Program from the European Commission of the Republic of Macedonia. This decision confirms the readiness of the national structure (including the Customs Administration) for independent management of the EU funds from the IPA program for further development of the administrative and operational capacities.

In accordance with the strategic commitments and priorities, the implementation of projects aimed at building a customs policy in accordance with the laws, standards and best practices of the European Union is planned and started.
