NCTS
The New Computerized Transit System (NCTS) uses advanced technologies and electronic data processing. It is a modern tool for transit procedure through exchange of electronic messages between economic operators and customs offices, as well as only between customs offices. It is a tool for management and control of transit operations, enabling modern and efficient management of these operations. The Republic of Macedonia is a member of the Convention on a Common Transit Procedure, hence transit procedures are conducted only with a single electronic transit declaration within the member states of the Convention.
CDEPS
The Customs Administration is developing a new Customs Declarations and Excise Documents Processing System (CDEPS), which will ensure uninterrupted flow of electronic information among all participants in the customs and excise procedures by interconnecting the external, national and common EU domain and the domain of other state agencies. The CDEPS can connect and communicate with the companies in two ways: directly through web portal or via "system to system" communication by using web services. The first version of the required technical specifications for the development of systems that will directly communicate "system to system" with the CDEPS has already been published.
PEC
The Portal for electronic communication (PEC) is on-line system for electronic exchange of documents with the Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia. The system provides for external users to submit different types of requests to the Customs Administration in electronic form and to monitor the status of their requests in real time. This type of electronic exchange of documents improves the efficiency of both Customs and the business community in the Republic of Macedonia, thus saving time and money.
ITE
Integrated Tariff Environment (ITE) is a business concept grouping several computer systems for information exchange between the European Commission and EU Member States. The introduction of ITE is a mandatory pre-condition for accession to the EU in order to bring the common European market and the EU Customs Union closer. ITE ensures full compatibility and interoperability between the IT systems of the Customs Administration and the relevant IT systems of the EU Customs, as well as introduction of business processes compatible with the ITE of the EU.
EXIM
EXIM - electronic system used by 16 institutions with competences in foreign trade operations and is a single window system for import, export and transit licenses and tariff quota. The system enables search per tariff code of goods and information about what licenses related to import, export or transit are required through the Search option. The option Tariff Quota, under Tariff Quota Quantities, the business community can obtain information about which tariff quota and from which countries are available for allocation. EXIM provides for electronic submission of requests for import, export and transit licenses by the economic operators, as well as electronic issuance of the licenses by the competent institutions. Through the system the clients can monitor the status of processing of their requests until they are finally issued. The importers can electronically submit requests for allocation of tariff quota available according to the trade agreements that the Republic of Macedonia has signed. Tariff quota is allocated on daily basis on basis of the "first came- first served" principle.
