Today, during detailed customs control of a bus entering the country at the border crossing point Tabanovce, a mobile team from the Department of Operational Affairs of the Customs Administration discovered and seized 13.3 kilograms of gold and undeclared 30,000 euros at the Tabanovce border crossing. The seized gold is estimated to over 600,000 Euros.

Due to the existence of suspicion of smuggling, the bus with Macedonian license plates, which travels on a regular route from Porech (R. Croatia) to Gostivar, together with the passengers, was escorted to the customs terminal at the border crossing point. During the detailed examination with a mobile x-ray  scanner, the customs inspectors noticed irregularities in the roof, finding variety of gold jewelry and gold tiles in regular and irregular shapes. The undeclared gold weighing 13,304 grams was impounded and handed over to the Investigation Department for further proceedings.

In addition, during a personal search, undeclared 30,000 euros were found and seized from one of the drivers, and a foreign currency misdemeanor report was drawn up.

A working meeting organized by the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of North Macedonia was held today, which was attended by the Director of the Chamber of Commerce Branko Azeski, the Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski, the Director General of the Customs Administration Slavica Kutirov and the Director of the Food and Veterinary Agency Nikolce Babovski. The meeting took place at the BCP Tabanovce, which is currently the busiest border crossing point to enter the country.

Today at the border crossing point Tabanovce, the Customs Administration and Director General Slavica Kutirov hosted a working visit of the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of North Macedonia Blagoj Bochvarski, the Minister of Construction, Traffic and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia Tomislav Momirović and the Director of the International Transport Community Matej Zakonjshek.

Today, the Director General of the Customs Administration attended a joint meeting at the Ministry of Finance initiated by Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi, with representatives of the Prime Minister's Office, the Director General of the Public Revenue Office, representatives from the Chamber of Commerce of the RN Macedonia, the Chamber of Commerce of North-West Macedonia, MASIT and the Union of Chambers of Commerce.

Today, the Director General of the Customs Administration, Slavica Kutirov, met with the Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Robert Decker.
