Representatives of the Customs Administration today, at border crossing point Tabanovce-Preshevo attended a meeting organized as part of the joint activities of the Chambers of Commerce of North Macedonia and Serbia within the Open Balkans initiative.

Representatives of the phytosanitary and veterinary inspections, customs and police border agencies also attended the meeting.

They pointed out that the Open Balkans initiative and the introduction of green lanes, make movement of goods significantly faster, and the time required for the entire inspection process has been shortened for 3 to 15 minutes.

Possibilities for further reduction of the already reduced waiting time at border crossings, as well as expanding cooperation in data exchange of all services involved in customs procedures were also discussed.
