Today, a press conference was held in the premises of the Chamber of Commerce, attended by the President of the Economic Chamber Mr. Branko Azeski, the Minister of Finance Mr. Fatmir Besimi, the Director General of the Customs Administration Mrs. Slavica Kutirov and the Executive Director of the Chamber Mr. Anthoni Peshev.

At the press conference, the attendees reported on the permanent abolition or reduction of customs duty rates on about 260 raw materials used in the production process of companies that are mostly export-oriented, done to support their export competitiveness.

The Agreement on Cooperation between ECNM and the Customs Administration for education of economic operators in the area of customs operations was also promoted, thus confirming the Chamber's commitment in the field of education.

The agreement, as pointed out by the Executive Director of the Chamber, Antoni Peshev, envisages a training plan for 2022 which will mean familiarization with the customs operations of companies, in order to better understand the amendment of regulations, as well as the introduction of digitalization in customs procedures.

The Director General of the Customs Administration, Slavica Kutirov, pointed out that this agreement is another in the series of cooperation agreements between the two institutions and pointed out that Customs makes available its professional staff for education of economic operators to support their export activities and processes, thus improving their efficiency.
