A meeting with the State Market Inspectorate was held today in the premises of the Customs Administration. Practical aspects of exchange of data and information on effective controls, as well as the protocol for cooperation in conducting joint controls on the import of fuel oil was discussed.

The efficient data and information exchange, as well as the protocol is a result of the efforts of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia for increased quality control of oil derivatives that are imported and used on the territory of the country, in the interest of protecting citizens' health and life.

The Director General of the Customs Administration, Slavica Kutirov MSc., expressed confidence that the data and information exchange between the two institutions will achieve the goal - better and coordinated control over the import of fuel oil and that it does not affect the speed and duration of customs clearance. It was stressed that by organizing continuous meetings between the two institutions, the results of the practical implementation of the signed Memorandum and the results of the conducted controls of the two institutions will be analyzed in detail.

The Director of the State Market Inspectorate, Aneta Simeska Dimoska MSc, confirmed the good and continuous cooperation of the two institutions in the operation, particularly in recent months after the adoption of the conclusion of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia for increased controls on the import of fuel oil, emphasizing that only coordinated controls will ensure harmonized and optimal quality control of petroleum products.
