Today, Director General of the Customs Administration, Slavica Kutirov MSc, together with Deputy Director Muarem Asani had a working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia in charge of economic affairs, coordination with the economic departments and investments Mr. Fatmir Bytyqi, who wished them successful work and conveyed his expectations that the Customs Administration will remain among the leading institutions in the country. Several current topics related to customs operations were also discussed at the meeting.

The participants exchanged information on the implementation of the project for development and implementation of the new National Single Window System (NSW), of which the Customs Administration is leading agency and coordinator, and the Cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of economic affairs, coordination with the economic departments and investments Mr. Bitiqi is the chairman of the Steering Committee for project implementation. The planned projects in the ICT Development Strategy of the Customs Administration were also discussed, as well as other development plans and activities in the forthcoming period, such as tracking and tracing excise goods.

The operation and opportunities for promotion of the One Stop Shop concept with the Republic of Serbia was also discussed, as well as the preparations that are underway for the introduction of this concept with the Republic of Albania and Kosovo.

At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed commitment to continue the close communication and cooperation at all levels in order to further modernize the customs operations, and in order to improve the services to the economic operators and the business climate in general.
