The Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia marked 26th April – the World Intellectual Property Day with activities under the campaign "Stop Counterfeits"

The campaign “Stop Counterfeits” started on 5th April 2018, as part of the activities organized to celebrate 14th April – the Customs Day. It was launched at the City Mall, where samples of seized counterfeits were exhibited, and on the occasion of 26th April - the World Intellectual Property Day, students from Josip Broz Tito High School from Skopje got acquainted with the harmful consequences of counterfeits.

In the premises of the high-school, yesterday (26.04.2018), samples of seized counterfeits were exhibited, information brochures were distributed to the students and they had the opportunity to talk to customs officers about the dangers of using counterfeits and get information about the activities the Customs Administration takes in the fight counterfeits, as well as how to recognize the fake products.

This campaign is focused on protecting consumers from buying counterfeit products since they pose a huge risk to human health and the world economy has seen huge losses due to activities related to the production and release of counterfeit products.
