On 10.10.2018, the Director General of the Customs Administration Gjoko Tanasoski held a meeting with the importers, exporters, agents, freight forwarders, manufacturers and transporters at the Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia.

 
The meeting was attended by a large number of representatives of the economic operators. The Director General of the Customs Administration informed the attendees about the achieved results in the past year and about the novelties in the customs operations that will start to apply in January 2019 - the new electronic Customs Declarations and Excise Document Processing System, the Authorized Economic Operator and the new customs regulations. The Director General stressed the importance of these events and pointed out that the cooperation with the business community is a key factor for building confidence, promotion of good governance and accelerating and simplifying customs procedures. During the meeting, the representatives of the economic operators talked about the challenges they face in their day-to-day operations, and offered suggestions how to create a favourable competitive economic environment together.

Meetings of this kind will continue to be organized in the future and the Customs Administration remains committed to to improve the business environment and create equal opportunities for economic growth and development of all economic stakeholders.
