Under IPA Cross-border Cooperation Program Project between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Greece 2014-2020, the Customs Administration will modernize the border crossing point Bogorodica.

The Agreement for the start of the Project, which was signed on 2nd April 2018, financed by the European Union and co-financed by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia in the amount of 442,500 Euros, envisages several infrastructural activities at the BCP Bogorodica and BCP Dojran that are to be finalized by the end of 2023. The infrastructural activities will ensure creation of contemporary conditions and high quality services at the border crossings, which for the economic operators, transporters and passengers will mean easier and faster movement of goods, and better conditions for control and protection of citizens.

The realization of this Project with the support of the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia will greatly contribute to facilitation and acceleration of customs and border procedures and improvement of the cross-border cooperation. The upgrade of the facilities will increase the traffic flow of goods, reduce the time needed for completion of the border formalities and improve the infrastructure for the use of modern inspection equipment.
