In the period 26-28 February 2018, the Export Control and Border Security Program (EXBS) of the US Embassy in the Republic of Macedonia organized a Behavioral Observation Skills Training Course for 24 customs and border police officers.

 

The course included classroom instruction, case studies and practical exercises designed to provide front line customs and border police officers with observation and interviewing skills to identify the smugglers of illicit goods and weapons of mass destruction, malafide travelers, criminals and terrorists.

At the closing ceremony held today – 28th February 2018, Customs Director General Gjoko Tanasoski expressed gratitude to the EXBS Program, supported by the Government of the United States of America, through which Customs has received donations of equipment, used in the daily operations of the customs officers on several occasions, as well as professional preparation through specialized training courses, seminars and conferences.

Director General Tanasoski and  EXBS Regional Advisor George Clarke presented certificates of completion to the participants.
